Recruitment and Retention

Recruitment and retention are intrinsically linked. Get the first wrong and your organisation will suffer the effects in terms of staff retention. We can probably all cite examples of where the wrong person has been recruited. Why did it happen? The answer is probably a lack of a coherent and suitably robust system of recruitment and/or a lack of knowledge and expertise of those involved in the process. Is staff turnover an issue for you? Can this be linked back to the recruitment process? In other words, are you recruiting the wrong people who are either disappointed with their role in terms of their expectations, or simply unable to cope? There are, of course, several reasons for unacceptably high staff turnover. This workshop focuses on the link between recruitment and retention and will be applicable to you if you feel that you need to get to grips with ensuring that your organisational recruitment process enables you to recruit the right person for the role who will fit the requirements and will stay the course.
