Changes to CIPD Membership Criteria
So change is all around us - what fun! We now have the opportunity to embrace the radical changes that are afoot.
For example:
- a qualification is not a guarantee of a grade of CIPD Membership
- membership will be about what you know, how you apply that knowledge in the workplace and the behaviours you use
- membership is not about time served; it is about your work role
The grades are
- Companion - by invitation only
- Fellow
- Member
- Associate
The new grades will be phased in from 2010. So those who are graduate members, licentiate members and chartered members have until July 2010 to upgrade using the existing arrangements.
