Candidate Successes go Global
Our latest batch of successful candidates to receive their qualifications assembled at the Oxford Circus Holiday Inn on Friday 9th June on a hot day in London. Globalisation was reflected in their increasing cosmopolitan diversity. Two Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) candidates hailed from Nigeria whilst one of our PAC successes was from Cyprus.
Maureen Scholefield commented, 'It is a sign of the enduring versatility of our qualifications and development programmes, that people should follow them in other countries. CIPD and NVQ awards are gilt edged and carry with them enormous credibility and relevance wherever people go to work.'
One of our PAC candidates, Antonis Antoniou, had the additional distinction of being awarded a merit grade for his management research report. 'As well as working remotely in Cyprus, being upgraded to Fellow of the CIPD and completing the assessment process in extraordinary rapid time, he has set a bench mark of quality that others will do very well to achieve,' commented Maureen.
Dr Frank Price, from the Ministry of Defence was another successful PAC candidate. 'Not everyone has had to keep the armed forces happy with HR support to its senior civilians, at the same time as going through a Professional Assessment of Competence, said Maureen.' 'Balancing work and personal development in this way is no small achievement.' Frank has also applied for upgrading to Fellow of the CIPD. (At the time of going to press we were confidently awaiting the outcome of his application.)
We followed our established practice of obtaining the personal reflections of candidates on their own individual success stories.
