A sound method when selecting people to join the organisation or to inform Succession Planning and Talent Management projects.
We design and organise assessment centres in collaboration with our clients. We believe a partnership approach works best, as there is maximum involvement on all sides and the organisation benefits from internal and external expertise.
We use assessment centres to assist in selection and use a mixture of psychometric tests, group exercises and "in-tray" exercises to supplement the interview process. Our creativity really comes to the fore here!
Assessment centres are very valuable in the development of people. Development centres can help to groom people for managerial roles so that they are ready for the job role rather than being placed in a stressful situation of coping with a promotion and having to develop their skills at the same time.
In either situation there is an ethical point to consider in terms of the quality of the feedback and how such feedback is given to candidates.
