Circle of Peers - Collaboration

It's good to talk...
We all know that bouncing ideas, discussing problems and sharing solutions in a safe environment helps us hone the ultimate plan. Finding that someone else has tried that particular approach and can share the successes and the pitfalls is of incalculable value, saving time, money and that all important stress factor. Add to that the ability to pick up a telephone and laugh (or cry!) with someone who understands and whom you know will maintain confidentiality and you begin to have a recipe for keeping that New Year Resolution to take better care of yourself.
Our Circle of Peers was born out of providing support mechanisms for PAC candidates – those working towards membership of the CIPD through the Professional Accreditation route. Because these candidates do not learn in a classroom environment they had little contact with each other and we wanted to provide that contact in a safe supportive manner. Circle of Peers continues to be an outstanding success and members return to the safety of the circle long after they have completed their qualifications.
As a result, we have now extended the concept and created Circles of Peers to provide small support groups for HR professionals who are facing an often lonely and difficult period in their working lives.
By no means confined to those downsizing their organisations, groups meet at a time of their choosing under the ‘Chatham House Rule’ to share, support, and where appropriate learn from each other. Cullen Scholefield will organise, ensure coffee is on tap and will facilitate the group discussions. If groups decide they would like particular expert input, Cullen Scholefield will source that input - and the speaker comes with the Cullen Scholefield quality mark!
You can even role play that difficult conversation if you want to – or provide feedback to someone else practicing what they could say.
