There is a plethora of theories and methodology included under the mantle of ‘project management’. The reality is that project management does not have to be complex, but application of some simple but effective planning tools can contribute enormously to the success of a work based venture.

This workshop has been designed for those who want to develop and practice the basics of project management without the requirement to become embroiled in over complex theory and methodology.
Aim:
To provide delegates with the fundamental tools of project management that can be applied to an array of tasks where project management is applicable, from simple to those with more complexity.
Objectives:
By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to:
- Apply tips and tools for effective task management
- State the key step by step requirements for managing a project
- Identify the key stages of project management and plan each
- Explain the importance of communication, team-working and influencing and describe a number of effective methods of achieving this
- Describe the people aspects of project management (so often forgotten!) and state ways of harnessing positive energy in support of a project and avoiding negative reactions
Methods:
This one day workshop will be highly participative and will include guided planning of a project based on a realistic scenario using various planning tools.
