Managing for High Performance

  • Is your team achieving its full potential?
  • Are your managers equipped with the right tools to manage their teams effectively?
  • Are you able to pinpoint where you need to apply performance improvement within your organisation?
  • Would your management team benefit from a programme, tailored to their specific collective needs?

‘Managing for high performance’ is a collection of workshops that focus on key areas of management performance. These areas have been identified as a result of our experience of working with organisations of varying sizes, complexity and specialisation, from both Public and Private Sectors, where management performance has been identified as an issue.

Every organisation will be unique in terms of its need for focus. On this basis, our ‘Managing for high performance’ product is designed to provide an a la carte approach to programme design. It is very flexible and allows a combination of topics to be clustered in accordance with client needs. Programme duration could be limited to a one day programme, covering one or two topics, or covered in a longer programme featuring a broader array of subject matter.

The programmes are designed to be highly participative and will reflect the ‘look and feel’ of your organisation in terms of the supporting scenarios and case studies used to facilitate skills practice and the discussions.

Establishing your needs

The starting point for arranging a ‘Managing for high performance’ programme is a discussion with a Cullen Scholefield consultant in order to establish exactly what you need in terms of content and programme duration. This will cover:

  • Background to the organisation and its needs in terms of management performance
  • Details about the delegates - we would need to gain a ‘feel’ for how they might react to the practical exercises we propose
  • Venue – client’s own facilities or external?
  • Measures of success – agree a framework for programme evaluation beyond the traditional ‘happy sheet’
  • Ideas for case studies and scenarios

Having conducted this evaluation exercise, we would then design a programme, based on our existing materials, tailored to your needs.
