Effective Time Management
Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the conflicting priorities placed upon you? Is this because you simply have too much work? Or, could it be because you do not manage your time as efficiently as you might? Setting priorities for yourself can be a tough call – especially when others have a habit of encroaching upon your time! The solution could be development of your assertion skills – being prepared to say ‘no’. However, perhaps an ability to create clarity for yourself, to be realistic in terms of what you are capable of doing – and avoid those all to prevalent time wasters is what you really need. If this is the case, then this workshop will provide the structure and tools you need to plan your time effectively.
Aim:
To enable delegates to create clarity in the way they plan their working life, identifying how to prioritise and plan for work delivery, reducing own stress and increasing personal effectiveness and efficiency
Objectives:
At the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
- Identify own reasons for allowing work to become destabilised and ineffective
- Identify and state methods of avoiding common time wasters
- Analyse own working patters, identifying optimum performance zones for particular types of work
- Create a daily action plan based on valid priorities - and stick to it!
- Review own progress with the aim of improving overall efficiency and morale
Methods:
This is a highly participative workshop utilising tutor input, practical exercises, including the creation of action plans based on own work environment scenarios.
