  • Cullen Scholefield has just undergone a successful dual review of our Investor in People (IiP) status and the Work Life Balance Model. We were first recognised as an IiP in 1998 and in 2004 we were the first organisation in the South East to be awarded the Work Life Balance standard. How did we achieve re-accreditation of the Work Life Balance standard?  Our IiP assessor said in his report 'I found a small company that has Work Life Balance at the core of its culture and operations.  There is an appropriate mix of formal and informal support provided to people to meet their Work Life Balance goals.   Contact Phil Gott for more information and read the full article "Emotional Intelligence - but what about Emotional Engagement?"

  • Shaping up for the future - The business vision for education and skills - The Confederation of British Industry's (CBI) report published in April 2007.  Richard Lambert Director General CBI says that 'The UK is at a crossroads on skills, and we need to move forward quickly.'   The report makes interesting reading for those who have followed the government's approach to education and skills.   All organisations - no matter what sector and no matter what size cannot afford to ignore the vital area of learning and skills.
