Investors in People and Work-Life Balance

Cullen Scholefield was the first company in the South East to be awarded the Investors in People (IiP) Work-Life Balance Model award standard in 2004 and are still just one of only five companies in the region to have achieved the standard.

We were also awarded IiP status in1998 and have continually maintained the standard since then.

The Work-Life Balance Model involves us including our employees in the business decision making process, recognising their personal needs and ambitions, and implement flexible working arrangements to suit individual personal commitments.

The model has been shown to empower workforces and increase companies’ performance. We firmly believe that engaging people emotionally creates loyalty and commitment. The Work-Life Balance Model has helped us to build an even more driven and successful team and allowed us to attract, retain and develop high caliber people to add to our portfolio of expertise.

Not only are we more dynamic and responsive as a company, but our clients get an improved and better focused service that can be tailored exactly to the way they like to work.

In the last Work-Life Balance Model Review Report, our IiP Assessor said: “Cullen Scholefield has Work Life Balance at the core of its culture and operations. It is an excellent example of a Work-Life Balance organisation and a good role model for organisations seeking to develop Work-Life Balance strategies.”

Flexibility demands creativity, consultation, common sense and candour from the employer and the employee, and the rewards are considerable. The Work-Life Balance Model underpins exactly the Cullen Scholefield approach and that’s why we have such a well deserved reputation for going the extra mile.
